Be sure to use the back of the Treasurer's half of the tax bill. It has the necessary form.

Note: If the full amount due is not paid, it will be returned and you will be charged a penalty!

Note: Due to rising costs, as of January 1, 2002, the Stark County Treasurer can no longer accept credit cards in the office for payment of taxes.

Note: To avoid any confusion on application of payments and for proper
credit each parcel must be paid as a separate transaction.

As a taxpayer, you may, however, make use of the card services shown on the back of your tax bill. You may now call Official Payments Corp. at 1-800-272-9829 and, using the jurisdiction code 4518, pay your taxes by credit card over the phone.*

Option #3: Stark County Bank Branches Now Accept Payments During Tax Collection Time

Your Treasurer's Office has arranged the option of paying your real estate tax bill at regional bank branches in Stark County during tax collection time*.

During tax collection time only, all Stark branches of the following banks will accept your tax payment:

• First Merit
• Huntington Bank

*Tax Collection Time = the time period initiated by the receipt of your tax bill through the due date of your tax bill in the months of January and June.

IMPORTANT NOTICE TO TAXPAYERS

If you pay by check, the check must be made payable to Stark County Treasurer. The banks will accept full payment only as shown on your tax bill during January and February for the 1st half bills and June and July for the 2nd half bills only through the close of business of the due date on your bill.

Option #4: Pre-Payment Program

You can arrange to begin paying your next tax bill by calling Rick Reigle at (330) 451-7824. Your next tax billing will be divided into five (5) payments if you sign up now. Remember, the enclosed current bill must be paid in full before you can use prepay!

Option #5: Automatic Withdrawal

You can sign up to have your taxes withdrawn from your checking or savings either with the monthly prepay or every February and July. (phone (330) 451-7495). Remember, the enclosed current bill must be paid in full before you can use this option.
